Last week I went to market in NYC to order for Spring 2013. I was blown away by all the new trends and cannot wait to see them on our customers. Since Celia just had her first baby boy, Charles Huxley Tucker or "Hux" (after his grandfathers), I had to make the venture without her! At times, though, it felt like she was there, directing us from her house! Morgan decided to come with me and was so helpful!! As a fashionista herself, she was great at helping me pick between styles and I'll think y'all are gonna love our spring shipments! Here's a quick peek at some of Spring's hottest trends:
1. Peplum Tops and Stripes!
2. Glitter Glam (in any form or fashion!)
3. LOTS of Green!
4. Suede Shorts
I know it's hard to tell in this picture but yes, these are suede and so cute on!!
Stay tuned as we start getting these styles in around January! (They will be on www.WearWillow.com as well!)
If you haven't heard, we went live with our latest venture WearWillow.com! It's been about a month since we launched and WOAHHH...what a ride it has been!! We have learned so many new things about the online world and have been busy bees ever since day 1. Between 10 hour photoshoots, waking up in the middle of the night to new orders from our shoppers around the country and fighting writer's block as we upload new products and their descriptions, somehow we have managed to survive and we love every minute of the fast-paced lifestyle of the web!
When you check it out you will see that WearWillow.com is truly a blend of both stores, Willow in Rosemary and Willow + Woods in Seaside. You will find anything from beautiful Rebecca Taylor silk tops to a perfect everyday chic dress! Price points range from low to high and we upload new inventory just about everyday. For example, we all know what it's like to be the girl on a budget so we created a "boutique" within our website that features affordable trendy pieces...
One of the "big trends" for fall is Velvet. When it comes to Velvet you either love it or hate it. In the past, Celia is a love it and I have always been a hate it.
As a child that was born in the early 80's, I was subject to always wearing Velvet. Whether it was in a dress, leggings, or even a bow on top of my head it was somewhere. Every Christmas picture my sister, brother, and I were all in matching velvet pieces. As seen below... (I am the one on the left, and this was before I started curling the top layer of my bangs upward. Those pictures will never be seen on the blog!)
Because of this I have never worn it again, but I kind of think my views are changing. I am actually in love with this Velvet jacket by Twelfth Street that we just got in at Rosemary!
And this beautiful feather print Rebecca Taylor top that has velvet along the shoulder line adding the perfect touch! This one can be found at www.WearWillow.com
And how fabulous are these velvet Rachel Zoe Pumps!!!
So I think I am coming around to the idea of wearing velvet again! I am probably never going to dress my three kids in matching velvet for Christmas, but I guess I am learning to never say never!
