A few years ago we started carrying these super cool beaded bracelets and necklaces that were handmade by a designer, Ronda Smith. All of our employees LOVED them the moment we opened our first shipment and our customers just couldn't get enough of them. Ronda Smith's jewelry is now one of our best selling jewelry lines in the Rosemary Beach location and we like to think of her pieces as jewelry candy!! Ronda Smith is such an inspiring woman and designer that we wanted all of our customers to know a little bit about her and what better way to do that than a personal interview with Ronda herself. Read below to get to know one of our favorite designers!
What inspired you to start designing jewelry?
After being diagnosed with cancer, a dear friend gave me a bracelet with a religious medal. I loved it and decided to make myself several more to wear with it. I had friends ask me to make more for them and then stores started to request them as well!
At what age did you know you wanted to be designer?
I've always been interested in art and anything creative. I went to college for graphic design and ended up designing jewelry about 6 years ago.
Where do you get your inspiration/ideas for new pieces?
I get inspired everyday from something! Coming up with new designs is the easiest part of my job.
Where is your favorite place to design/make your jewelry?
I have a studio in my home where I get to work with awesome girls and see my family. We laugh constantly. It's the best environment!
Which is your favorite quote?
Laughter is the best medicine.
Favorite clothing designer?
I don't have a favorite designer. I love Free People and Johnny Was.
Your Celebrity Crush?
Your favorite city to visit?
I love Nashville
I love ALL music, but my favorite is country!
Something surprising about you?
I can clog!
All of Ronda Smith's pieces are made from vintage holy medals and antique charms, re-used copper metals and natural gemstones! For orders or more information please contact us at Sales@WearWillow.com
Ladies, the neon colors are back and very in this season! Everywhere I look I keep running into neon colors and I fall in love with them even more each time. But here's the thing, neon is a little tricky and if you're thinking you can't pull it off, well don't fret! Because you can! Here are a couple tricks to wearing neon and looking fabulous!
1. Stay away from tight-fitting pieces. This will draw too much attention to unwanted areas.
2. Try sticking to classic shapes - a punch of color won't be overwhelming if you keep it simple.
3. Be confident and own the look! - if you're not comfortable in your outfit, it will show.
1. Pull-out your favorite neon tights from the 80's, please.
2. Add more than two neon colors to one out-fit - try adding colors like light greys or navy to balance the neon.
3. Choose neons that don't compliment your skin tone - make sure that you choose colors that pop without washing you out!
Am I bringing back memories? HAH!
Here are a few of the pieces on my neon wish-list:

As a girl that likes to wear jeans, I was excited to see color come back into the denim world. With the 80's making a comeback into the fashion world putting color anywhere will work. Here are a few of what we have at Willow.
the current elliott blue leopard
The Fig Leather Skinny (we have these in black as well and sooo cute)
Unless you live under a rock, you have seen lots of press about the oldie but goodie, BELL BOTTOM! Yep, it's back. I know, just when we get comfortable with the skinny minnie, it's time to change.
Well, I have done some research and I think that the best pick out there is by Current/Elliott. So Willow has them on the way. I wanted to go ahead and get it in you girls heads so you can let it simmer...but get ready, because you are gonna have to get on board with the bell!
I know what you are all thinking...they are so not flattering to wear. But they can be very cool if you chose the right style for your body. Make sure they are slim through the thigh and knee and begin to flair at your shin. Wear a hot heel or wedge and tuck your shirt in. These are not for flip flops or flats unless you are six feet tall!!
Go get your groove on with the bell...Happy Weekend!
Today was a good day, as far as deliveries go. Willow got a huge shipment of our most sought after jewelry pieces. I have posted pics in the past, but every box she sends it so new, fresh and amazing!! It is true art...one-of-a-kind pieces.
Go check out our facebook page "Willow Boutique" for more pics or call the store for details. No snoozin...we sold several pieces out of the box as we opened today!!
