Seaside to NYC.

Last week I went to market in NYC to order for Spring 2013. I was blown away by all the new trends and cannot wait to see them on our customers. Since Celia just had her first baby boy, Charles Huxley Tucker or "Hux" (after his grandfathers), I had to make the venture without her! At times, though, it felt like she was there, directing us from her house!  Morgan decided to come with me and was so helpful!! As a fashionista herself, she was great at helping me pick between styles and I'll think y'all are gonna love our spring shipments! Here's a quick peek at some of Spring's hottest trends:

Love it or Hate it....Velvet's back!

One of the "big trends" for fall is Velvet.  When it comes to Velvet you either love it or hate it.  In the past, Celia is a love it and I have always been a hate it. 

As a child that was born in the early 80's, I was subject to always wearing Velvet.  Whether it was in a dress, leggings, or even a bow on top of my head it was somewhere.  Every Christmas picture my sister, brother, and I were all in matching velvet pieces.  As seen below...  (I am the one on the left, and this was before I started curling the top layer of my bangs upward.  Those pictures will never be seen on the blog!)

Because of this I have never worn it again, but I kind of think my views are changing.  I am actually in love with this Velvet jacket by Twelfth Street that we just got in at Rosemary!

So I think I am coming around to the idea of wearing velvet again!  I am probably never going to dress my three kids in matching velvet for Christmas, but I guess I am learning to never say never!
