The Fighter. A Must See

A great movie. 

I am not much of a movie buff, mostly because that requires one to have to sit still for over an hour. Not easily done by me. It helps if I am at the movie theater and forced to sit there. Well I went yesterday and it was a spectacular movie. I am not a chick-flick kinda girl, but I do think even those of you who are chick-flickers will love this movie.

The Fighter, based on a true story, is set in the mid to late 90's and stars Christian Bale, Marky Mark and Amy Adams and is a must see. Not just a renter; pay the ridiculous $10+ and see it on the big screen.

Christian Bale is amazing. Marky Mark is not bad himself. Come on girls, you gotta think one is pretty cute.

Because this is supposed to be a "fashion" blog, let's discuss the wardrobes. They are the most horrific attires I can remember seeing. Big bangs, mom jeans, acid wash mini skirts and the like. I kept wondering what era this was 80's? Oh, no....totally 90's.(blocked mostly out of my mind) I really can't think of any good fashion that came out of the 90's...when I grew up, and this movie validates just that.

These are 4 of the 7 sisters and they are a riot! I wouldn't want to run into them in a dark alley.

So see The Fighter for a few reasons: Christian Bale, it is a fantastic movie and to be reminded of the worst fashion era of all times...never going back again!!!!

 

 

 

These small city girls got to see "THE CITY" girls in action

Okay, so I have to admit that I, (a married 29 year old, with a child) love, I mean watch the "The City" and "The Hills." I have been watching it since day one, back in the "Laguna Beach" days.

So, on my last trip to market with Celia and Cindy, you can't imagine how excited I was to hear that they were filming "The City" at market!!! We had seen Whitney at market  the year before (talking about a tall girl) but this time was the real deal..

We were way too cool to go in for a closer shot, mostly because no one else even cared, but this is them filming for tonight's show. Pretty neat...this was way back in February.

Watch tonight at 9:30 on MTV to see them at Coterie. Pretty cool. Roxy, Kelly Citrone, and Whit (haha) were all there! Check it out girls!

You may see us walking down their isle (back and forth...til we got busted!)

Corey Haim

If you are any where near my age, you are so saddened to hear about the death of Corey Haim. He was definitely a crush-y-poo of many gals in the late 80's. Remember the "Corey's"? Well, you kind of had to make a choice; mine was always Haim.

Although he seemed to have many troubles in the past several years, we all have some good memories of Corey Haim from our younger years:

"License to Drive"

"Lucas"

"Dream A Little Dream"

Best dressed last night?!?!!

Shockingly....Miley Cyrus looked amazing on the red carpet last night! She's wearing a gown by Jenny Packham looking youthful and glamorous all at once without being too overdone. It's a perfect color for her and just enough bling to pull it all together. Stunning...

When I am wrong, I am the first to admit it. I was WRONG about Twilight!

My sister and ALL of my friends told me how fantastic this series is. I am not a "reader"; think I have blawged about that before. I have a really hard time sitting still. The thought of "cozying up with a good book" makes me unerved, to say the least.

Well, for whatever weak moment (so grateful for this one) I had, I borrowed the first book, Twilight. Oh My Lord...words cannot begin to express how I feel about the adventure I took while reading this.

Put it this way, this non-reader, read over 1000 pages in 3 days. I have finished Twilight and New Moon and now ingulfed in Eclipse. Contrary to what I thought, they are not scary, ghoulish, or sci-fi. They are so great!!

Let me just give you a little glismpse of somethin...

Yep...no words necessary.

This could be the best present EVER for someone.
