Thankful....

Just 2 short years ago, our beloved gulf coast suffered one of the world's worst oil spill disasters on our fragile ecosystem and already seasonal economy. By the grace of God and much support and prayers from many giving people and loyal visitors, we are bouncing back and our coast is more beautiful that ever. On this beautiful gulf coast morning, we are so thankful to God!!!!!!!!!!

I know it has been months since we have blogged about our online store, but trust me, LOTS of work has being going on behind the scenes (thanks to Hillman Ball).  We are getting closer and closer to our launch date. A few days ago, we had a super duper photo shoot in Rosemary Beach by one of our favorite photographers, Tommy Crow.

By the way, if you haven't been by Tommy's studio in Rosemary, it's amazing. We are two lucky girls to have Tommy shoot us for our site.  I got to see the proofs today and he must have some kind of camera...they look fabulous. Can't wait to show all of you!!!! 

We also have to give a big thanks to Mindy and Shannon at Rolland's Salon in Seaside for our big hair and make-up!

 

 

 

Sweet Home Alabama...needs help now!!!!

  

Lives have been lost, homes have been ripped at the seams, families have been devastated, familiarities have been wiped from existence. Everything that has ever been taken for granted by the people who experienced any one of the 312 horrific tornadoes that roared through the south on April 27th, is now being held close to their hearts and longed for. Our hearts and prayers go out to all of the victims of this terrible disaster. Being Alabama and Mississippi girls, this disaster hit really close to home, we still hold strong roots in the areas that were affected and want to do all that we can do to help.

 

 

The time for shock and disbelief has passed, now is the time to recuperate and rebuild. Please help! Alabama is in a state of recovery, but we know how strong and resilient our fellow Alabamians are.

Willow plans to donate portions of our sales on Memorial Day weekend (our biggest weekend) to the Red Cross in Alabama.

very thankful today.

One year ago today our Gulf of Mexico and coast suffered one of the most horrific events in it's history with the explosion of the Gulf Water Deep Horizon oil well, followed by hundreds of days of vast amounts of oil leaking into our waters. Experiencing this as a local resident and business owner, was one of the saddest and scariest times in my life. The every day fear of the unknown and helplessness was overwhelming, to say the least.

All of us along the coast came together as neighbors and pushed through. Although we still feel some aftermath, mostly on our economy, we are hopeful, grateful and thankful today that we have our our gulf coast waters and beaches back.

 

  

A big thanks to all of you who supported us and still visited your favorite beaches in the world. We look forward to having you back down again this summer!!!

I awoke this morning a little frantic about how many things I have not done and gifts I have not bought yet for this quickly approaching Christmas Day 2010. We all know we can get wrapped up with anxiety, hurriedness, gifts and sometimes selfishness this time of year. So when my sweet friend Ashley sent this to me, it helped me slow down, breath and remember what life should be about.

 

May today there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly
where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite
possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others. May you
use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has
been given to you. May you be content with yourself just the way you
are. Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul

Twins again at Willow???

 
Earlier this summer we reported that Willow was expecting "twins", thus Willow + Woods was born.

Irony has struck and  have another set of twins courtesy of 1/2 of Willow...it's official Cindy and Bryan are having TWINS!!!

This means that little cutie-pie Barron is going to have...

Yesterday someone made me aware that I have over 1300 pictures saved on my phone. Doesn't everyone have their cell phone with them at all times these days?? Apparently I used my camera phone often. Good Oil

I know we are all sort-of tired of hearing about oil. Well, this is some of the good kind.  I am NOT a product girl, so I know that most of you "product girls" already heard of this forever ago. I have heard of Moroccan Oil over the past few months and decided to give it a try. It is great!!! Smells good, doesn't make your hair oily and leaves your hair unbelievable soft.

 

It comes in many different forms such as this above or the shampoo and conditioner. I got this oil that you can put into damp or dry hair. Helps tangles and the frizzies!!

I also got a Keratin treatment done on my hair....will get back to on that. You are not supposed to wash your hair for 2 days...so I am 2 days in and ready for some shampoo!!
