Her first name is Willow, last name Woods..."Wills" for short.  How cute is that??

This sweet girl's Mom, Kristin, emailed us the other day to let us know that she had discovered our little blog AND to inform us that we must have named our new store after her precious daughter! We tried really hard to be uber unique in naming our second location and took LOTS of time brainstorming ideas. Who would have guessed that a mere 1200 miles away lived an adorable little girl with the same name?! The world gets smaller everyday!!

Willow {the girl} is in the fifth grade and lives in Connetecuit. She is into competitive swimming and according to Mom is a budding fashionista! Coincidence? I think not! :)

Remember back in February when I posted some pics of a few of my favorite things from market in NY? Well slowly but surely, they are all starting to arrive. It is like Christmas, except Santa doesn't pick up the tab!! Look how cute these girls are:

Free & Easy

Now that we are into the men's clothing thing at Willow + Woods, I am totally obsessed with men's clothing. It is way more fun than stuff for us girls. I think it is because it is truly a challenge to find cool men's apparel. Easily you find Affliction/ be-dazzled looks or Brooks Brothers meets LL Bean. Either way....no bueno!!!

Something else I have come to find out about men's fashion,  there are very few fashion mags for men. On a recent jaunt to Nashville, I stopped off in maybe the coolest store ever, Imogene & Willies, and noticed this mag on their coffee table.

 

Although it is a Japanese fashion mag, it is FABULOUS!!! This very very hard to find gem is packed full of the most obscure goods a guy could only dream about. Anything from vintage Ray Bans, Jeff Beck and Kurt Cobain tees, amazing one-of-a-kind rugged leather boots, vintage Leica cameras, Bernese Mountain dogs, 1st Generation Range Rovers, killer Denim, retro furniture, travel clothes, Rolex Watches.....and on and on.

Even though most of the text is in Japanese, it is still so worth a look see, that is if you can get your hands of this jewel. I have heard there is a Japanese bookstore in NY that sometimes has copies.

 

How this ended up on my coffee table..I'll never tell (and I have the July 2010 editon too). Try to go here and get a glimpse. If they haven 't found Billy Reid yet, it is only a matter of time.
