Once we decided to start an instagram for Willow Boutique we quickly became hooked and have so much fun taking pics of new arrivals and filling you in with what's going on down here at the beach!! It's Time to Get Your Holiday "Spirits" On!

Now that it's starting to get pretty chilly down here at the beach all of us at Willow are starting to get excited about the holidays and all of those little traditions that we love to do each year. One of my favorite things to do around this time of the year is drink Starbuck's Caramel Apple Spice. Whether it's on the go or while I cozy up with a new book and take it easy, I always look forward to this delicous drink around this time! Wearing Winter Whites

Winter whites can often be very intimidating and hard to wear but when styled correctly it can be one of the most chic looks for fall and winter. Here's a helpful hint: when wearing white in the winter make sure to balance it with another soft but eye-cathcing color. My favorite colors to wear with whites are subtle greys, shimmery golds and even cream or ecru!

Getting to Know Ronda Smith

A few years ago we started carrying these super cool beaded bracelets and necklaces that were handmade by a designer, Ronda Smith. All of our employees LOVED them the moment we opened our first shipment and our customers just couldn't get enough of them. Ronda Smith's jewelry is now one of our best selling jewelry lines in the Rosemary Beach location and we like to think of her pieces as jewelry candy!! Ronda Smith is such an inspiring woman and designer that we wanted all of our customers to know a little bit about her and what better way to do that than a personal interview with Ronda herself. Read below to get to know one of our favorite designers!

What inspired you to start designing jewelry?

After being diagnosed with cancer, a dear friend gave me a bracelet with a religious medal. I loved it and decided to make myself several more to wear with it. I had friends ask me to make more for them and then stores started to request them as well!

At what age did you know you wanted to be designer?

I've always been interested in art and anything creative. I went to college for graphic design and ended up designing jewelry about 6 years ago. 

Where do you get your inspiration/ideas for new pieces?

I get inspired everyday from something! Coming up with new designs is the easiest part of my job.

Where is your favorite place to design/make your jewelry?

I have a studio in my home where I get to work with awesome girls and see my family. We laugh constantly. It's the best environment!

Which is your favorite quote?

Laughter is the best medicine.

Favorite clothing designer?

I don't have a favorite designer. I love Free People and Johnny Was.

Your Celebrity Crush?

David Beckham

Your favorite city to visit?

I love Nashville

Favorite music?

I love ALL music, but my favorite is country!

Something surprising about you?

I can clog!

Pirate Chic!

You heard me, pirate chic is the perfect look for the beach this Spring and Summer. Beautiful lace, gauze tops and lots of jewelry...how could you go wrong?

I mean, afterall, who doesn't love THE Captain Jack Sparrow and his stylish wardrobe?

Thanks to one of our favorite lines, Jen's Pirate Booty, you can stop by Willow in Rosemary to get this look. Here's a couple more of my favorites from her line:

Aren't those shorts to die for? I love the look of a distressed tee and lots of jewelry to add the final touch! Hurry on in to Willow in Rosemary, this line sells quick!

my new boyfriend/husband shirt

While shopping for Kav's Christmas (probably on Christmas Eve) I grabbed a new shirt for myself (opps). I don't know about you other boutique store owners, but I LOATHE shopping. So it is rare for me to shop, outside of willow, and even more rare if it is for myself.

So here is my new shirt:

and I am OBSESSED with it. It came from good ole J.Crew. Think they also had a dark version like this:

but I went with the first option. It's soft and kinda worn and I got it a couple of sizes too big. I have almost worn the buttons off of it adready.  Obviously easy to just throw on with jeans and shorts, but here are a few different ways I have worn it:

under this with these jeans:

under a stripe sweater with a black blazer and some leather leggings and heels

with my wide-leg Hudson's tucked in and big brown leather belt. Yep all denim, but since they were very different shades (super light + super dark) and I broke them up with a big chunky belt and lots of gold bracelets, it looked cool.

and I can't wait to wear it with my Kenny shorts or these Ikat skinnies coming out this Spring. It is so simple chic with shorts, so go grab one, you won't regret it!
